WILLIAM EARL STRIBLING

William Earl Stribling, son of John Wesley and Emmaline Horton Stribling, was born at Bear Creek, Iowa, on January 19, 1886. He died in Omaha, Nebraska, on January 9, 1947.

He spent his childhood in Earlham and graduated from Earlham Academy in 1902. In 1907 he graduated from the Chicago Veterinary College and also attended the Kansas City Veterinary College.

He spent two years in the Phillipine Islands as a veterinarian with the United State Government. He returned to this country and was Assistant State Veterinarian in North Dakota from 1912 until 1916.

During the First World War he was a Captain in the British Army and served in England, Belgium, and Germany.

When he returned from overseas he went into the serum business in Des Moines, Iowa, and remained in this business until his death.

He was married in 1913 to Gladys Monroe and he is survived by her, one brother, two daughters, and one granddaughter.
