IDA SMULL DIES AT ST. CHARLES

Life-Long Resident There Dies Thursday at Age of 87 Years

Mrs. Ida E. Smull, a life-long resident of the St. Charles community, died last Thursday, May 7, at the age of 87 years. Practically all her life was spent on the home farm, north of St. Charles.

Mrs. Smull was the former Ida Ellen Strable, daughter of Sylvester and Lucinda Marks Strable. She was born Sept. 6, 1871. She was married Jan. 24, 1894, to Charles W. Smull. He preceded her in death in 1932.

Surviving are her four children, Arthur S. Smull of St. Charles, Mrs. Ada Haas of Indianola, Mrs. Inez Brafford of St. Charles, and Mrs. Dorothy Hanson of Manchester. She also leaves seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the St. Charles Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. Clifford J. Pine. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
