FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Mrs. H. R. Jennings, Sister of Mrs. George Haymond of Winterset
Mrs. H. R. Jennings, member of a pioneer Madison county family, died March 14 at the home of her son, Charles Snyder, at Palatine, Ill., it was announced here this week.
Mrs. Jennings was the former Hattie R. Kipp, daughter of W. M. and Anna Underwood Kipp, and was born at Dexter on Aug. 17, 1873. She was reared in this community, and as a young woman was married to Warren Snyder. They were the parents of two children, Charles L. Snyder of Palatine, and Mrs. Guy Landers of Denver, Colo.
Mrs. Jennings had made her home in Chicago for the past 45 years, leaving there last year to live with her son.
In addition to her son and daughter; she leaves seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. George Haymond of Winterset, and Mrs. J. O. Clay of Los Angeles, Calif.; and a brother, Ed Kipp of Bell, Calif.
Funeral services and burial were held last Saturday at Palatine.
Transcriber's note: I am assuming that Mrs. Jennings died in Illinois and not California as the headline says.
