Winterset, IowaROY ALLEN BURIED SUNDAY AT WICK
Funeral services were held Sunday from the church at Wick for Roy W. Allen of that community, whose death occurred Thursday, Aug. 7, at the Memorial hospital in Winterset. His death followed a lengthy illness. He had been a patient at the hospital here for several weeks.
The services were conducted by the Rev. Glenn Lamb of Des Moines. Burial was made in the Wallace cemetery at Wick.
Mr. Allen was born near Commerce on March 25, 1905, a son of Albert and Anna Smith Allen. He lived most of his life in Warren county. He was a trucker and livestock buyer.
Surviving are his father and step-mother; two sisters, Mrs. Cloyd Wagner and Mrs. William Nuzum of Detroit; a brother, Lloyd Allen of Detroit; and a half brother and half sister, Bob Allen of Woodward and Mrs. Harold Beck of Indianola.
