SAM BREEDING DIED TUESDAY IN CALIFORNIA

Native of This Community Left Here About 40 Years Ago

Sam Breeding, member of a well known Madison county family, died at Napa, Calif., on Tuesday, according to word received here that day. He was 67 years of age.

Mr. Breeding was born in Scott township of this county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Breeding, and his early life was spent in this community. He moved to California about 40 years ago, where he followed the trade of electrician. In recent years he had served as financial secretary of the American Federation of Labor in his community.

He is survived by a foster son, Leonard Breeding of Napa; three brothers, Charles Breeding of Winterset, Robert Breeding of Fort Madison, and Fred C. Breeding of Kansas City, Mo.; and two sisters, Mrs. J. G. Schoenenberger of Winterset and Mrs. William McClure of Winterset.

Funeral services and burial will be held in California. James Breeding of Winterset left here by plane Tuesday to attend his uncle's rites.
