Wednesday, October 4, 1939MRS. GEORGE SAWYERS DIED AT GREENFIELD
Mrs. George Sawyers, a native of the Webster community, died at her home in Greenfield Sept. 25 at the age of 73 years.
Mrs. Sawyers had lived in Greenfield for the past 30 years. She was the former Jennie Elizabeth Hoadley, and was born at Webster on Dec. 25, 1865. She was married to Nick Nelson in 1887, and they were the parents of a daughter and two sons, the sons dying in infancy. Mr. Nelson died in 1908; eight years later she was married to George Sawyers, who survives her. She also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Dottie Martin.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Greenfield, and burial was made in the cemetery there.
