Services for Roy E. Smith, 81, of Indianola who died of a heart attack at Iowa Methodist Medical Center Sept. 3 were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Martensdale with burial at Blair Chapel Cemetery, Madison County. He was a resident of Blair Chapel Community until he retired from farming, moving to Indianola.

He is survived by his wife Erma.
