William Thomas Moore, one of Madison county’s pioneer settlers died Saturday morning, January 27th, at the home of his daughter Mrs. Manda Martino in Lincoln township. He was 82 years old.
Mr. Moore came to Madison county as an infant with his parents He was born in Kendall county, Illinois on July 25, 1851. He grew to manhood in Madison county and his entire life was identified with this community.
In 1888 he was married to Inez Mahala Chilcote. They were the parents of one daughter, Manda, with whom the father has made his home in late years.
In addition to Mrs. Martino, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. T. E. Pace.
Services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. from Tidrick’s funeral home. The Rev. F. W. Madson of the Baptist church was in charge. Burial was made in the Hooten cemetery.
