MRS. IOWA BELLE PRICE

Another pioneer answers the last great call.

Iowa Belle Libby, the last member in the family of Jeremiah and Elizabeth Libby was born December 8, 1856 and departed this life July 23, 1936 at the home of her son Charles, Earlham, Iowa, being 79 years, seven months and 25 days old at the time of her death.

Hers has been a life of the true pioneer type-one, full of activity and devotion to her home and family-never too tired or too busy to extend a hearty welcome to her fireside and to her bounteous table.

She not only cared lovingly for her own immediate family but she opened her arms and her home to receive the motherless children of her eldest son, whom she tenderly cared for until they could support themselves.

She was married to James Parker Price January 1, 1880 at Oskaloosa, Iowa and together they shared life's joys and sorrows until three years ago when her beloved companion, was called home leaving her indeed lonely and desolate-her one desire was to go to be with him.

To this union were born three sons, Ralph R. (deceased) Leroy C. and Charles, both of Earlham.

Mr. and Mrs. Price made their home in Mahaska county until the year 1895 when they moved to Wayne county, Iowa, here, they resided for three years, afterward moving to the vicinity of Earlham which has since been their home.

She with her husband united with the Christian church forty-four years ago. She died with her trust in her Savior and anxious to meet Him and the loved ones gone before.

She leaves to mourn her loss, two sons and their wives, nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Methodist church. Conducted by Rev. L. G. Wolfe. Interment made in the Earlham cemetery.
