Bevington, October 24, Special--
James Sammon, aged 57, died at the state hospital at Clarinda last Sunday evening, October 21. July 7th, Mr. Sammon was taken to the hospital for treatment, but began to lose weight so rapidly that medicine was of no avail. His brother, Dominic, two nephews, James and Lawrence Egan, and Ed Siedel paid him a visit Sunday, leaving him about 4 o'clock for home. Failing to heed the call to supper, the attendants upon going to his room, found him dead.

The immediate survivors of the deceased are two brothers, Phillip and Dominic, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Egan, all of this vicinity.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. P. J. Casey at the Catholic church in Churchville, Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock, and interment made at Calvary cemetery at Churchville.
