Former Resident Dies at Mitchellville

Mrs. L. E. Ragan, a native of Winterset, died Thursday, Dec. 15, at her home in Mitchellville. She was 72 years of age, and had been ill with a heart condition for about 10 years.

Mrs. Ragan was the former Amy Cline of Winterset. She was born in this community and spent her early life here. She graduated from Winterset high school and attended Iowa State Teachers college in Cedar Falls. For five years she taught school in Madison county. She and her husband moved from Winterset to Mitchellville in 1917.

She leaves her husband; two sons, Lawrence and Willard Ragan, both of Des Moines; five daughters, Mrs. K. E. Hibbs of New Hampton, Mrs. Bud Nordhus of McGregor, Mrs. Peter Broderson of Wyoming and Mrs. Charles Rowley and Mrs. Harold Nelson of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. L E. Bachman of Oceanside, Calif.; and a brother, E. D. Cline of Acapulco, Mexico.
