GEORGE NEWLON DIES IN MONTANA

George Newlon, a native of Madison county, died Oct. 9 at his home in Helena, Mont., according to word received here last week.

Mr. Newlon was 73 years of age. He was a brother of Mrs. Carrie Shambaugh and Mrs. Phil Wilkinson of Winterset, and Mrs. Mary Green of Los Angeles, Calif.

Mrs. Green attended funeral services for her brother at Helena, as also did Mrs. Alvin Meyer of Van Meter. Mrs. Meyer is a niece of the deceased.
