Winterset, IowaJOHN MILLER DIES FOLLOWING SURGERY
LORIMOR- John R. Miller, who operated the theater here for many years, died Thursday, March 26 at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He had undergone surgery for amputation of a leg several weeks ago, and the second operation was preformed last week. Death was caused by a blood clot. He was 67 years of age.
Mr. Miller was born at Redding, Iowa, but came to Lorimor about 15 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mae Griffith, a son, Paul Miller of Des Moines, two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Waugh of Des Moines and Mrs. Eula Lee Pattie of Marshalltown and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Redding Christian church Sunday, in charge of the Rev. Paul Shook of Lorimor. Burial was made in the Redding cemetery.
