ZADA FURROW SAYRE

Zada Belle Furrow was born July 5, 1894, and died Feb. 22, 1917, aged 22 years, 7 months and 17 days.

Her mother died in 1897 when she was but three years old, and she was taken into the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brown, who were as father and mother to her for 12 years, and taught her of our Lord and Savior.

When she was 15 years old, she went to make her home with her father in Winterset after a separation of 12 years. At the age of 13, she united with the Worthington M. E. church in this county and was an active member of the same at the time of her death. She was an active worker in the church and Sunday school until the last two years, when the care of the home and failing health prevented her regular attendance.

On Sept. 1, 1912, she was united in marriage to Mr. Frank Sayre of Winterset. To this union were born two children; Cleo, aged four years and Chloris, aged 18 months. Her great faith in God never wavered, and carried her through all of her sickness and saying "God's will be done, I am ready", she passed beyond to be with her Savior.

She leaves to mourn her loss a kind and loving husband, two daughters, a father and a host of friends.

The funeral was held Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Wesley Chapel, Rev. E. L. Spiller officiating, assisted by Rev. C. D. Basham. Interment was in the Winterset cemetery.
