Dollie Hester Wicks was born near Norwalk, Warren County, Iowa Nov. 6th, 1873. She passed away Tuesday, February 28th 1916 at four o'clock in the afternoon at the Methodist Hospital after a week's illness.

She was married to F. M. Elsbury April 28th 1890. She leaves behind husband and three children Hazel and Earnest at home and Mrs. Silas Compton and granddaughter Thelma. Also father, a brother and four sisters and friends.

Her mother and two brothers have preceded her to the other shore. Mrs. Elsbury made a profession of her faith in Christ Jesus in 1909, uniting with the Presbyterian church at that time.

She was more than ordinarily interested in the work of the church and has lived faithful and true to her profession.

Funeral services were held at the Friends Church Friday morning in the presence of a very large representation of sorrowing relatives and friends and interment occurred in Earlham Cemetery. Rev. Demaree conducted this farewell rite in memory of a good life well spent.

Dolly Hester Hicks was born near Norwalk, Warren county, Iowa, Nov. 6, 1873. She passed away Tuesday, Feb. 29, 1916 at four o'clock p.m. at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, after a week's illness following an operation.

She was married to J. M. Elsbury, April 28, 1890. She leaves the husband and three children: Hazel and Ernest at home; Mrs. Silias Compton and grand daughter, Thelma; also a father, brother and four sisters, with many other relatives and friends. Her mother and two brothers have preceded her to the other shore.

Mrs. Elsbury made a profession of her faith in Christ Jesus in 1909, uniting with the Presbyterian church in Earlham at that time. She has ever since been much interested in the work of the church and has lived faithful and true to her profession.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Demaree on Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment was made at the Earlham cemetery.
