Ralph A. Lowe, son of Nelson and Maggie Lowe, was born at Palco, Kansas on February 25, 1908 and passed away on March 10, 1971 at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines.
His early life was spent in Kansas. He entered military service in March of 1942 and served three years in the Pacific area. He received his discharge in October of 1945 as a corporal.
He was united in marriage to May Douglas in Omaha, Nebraska on August 14, 1948. One son Russell was born to this union.
Preceding him in death are his father and mother and three brothers: his twin brother Roy, and Harry who was of Knoxville, Iowa, and Archie who was of Des Moines.
He is survived by his wife May of Winterset; his son, Private Russell Lowe of Aberdeen, Maryland and his wife Marge of Minburn; by two step-daughters, Lois Overholt and family of Des Moines, and Vada Garrett and family of Stuart; by two brothers, Cecil Lowe of Trenton, Nebraska, and Gilbert Lowe of Colorado Springs, Colorado; by one sister, Violet Schutz and her husband Alvin of Wakeeney, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Lowe of Ames and Mrs. Juanita Mallory of Knoxville, and by a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral Services for Ralph A. Lowe
Funeral services for Ralph A. Lowe were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at the Evans Funeral Home in Earlham.
Rev. Ward Young was in charge of the services. Mrs. Lyle Summy was organist. Casket bearers were Russell Bricker, Melvin Bricker, Loyal Werts, Vernon White, Sidney Hartman and Claude Beaman.
Interment was in the Earlham cemetery.
