BURIAL AT ST. PATRICK FOR MRS. BREEN, 78

Funeral services for Mrs. John Breen, 78, of Des Moines were held Tuesday morning from St. Theresa’s Catholic church in Des Moines. Burial was in St. Patrick’s cemetery in Lee township of this county.

Mrs. Breen died Sunday in a Des Moines hospital following an illness of about three weeks.

She was the former Katherine Linnane, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Linnane, pioneer residents of the Bevington community.

Survivors include her husband, John Breen, Sr.; two daughters, Mrs. Herb McKinney of Des Moines and Mrs. Adam Gosieski of Washington, Iowa; two sons, John Jr. of Des Moines and Maurice of Springville, Ia.; 13 grandchildren; one brother, James Linnane of Bevington; and one sister, Mrs. Ellen Walsh of Bevington. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Honora Hanrahan.
