James W. Iler, a resident of the Macksburg community for the greater part of his long life, died at his home in Macksburg, Monday, May 21. He was 92 years of age.
Mr. Iler was born Oct. 8, 1858, in Marion county, a son of Thomas and Mary Iler. His wife, the former Amanda Silverthorn, died in 1923. Their only child, a daughter, died in infancy.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Macksburg Methodist church, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
