LeRoy Rogers Funeral June 10

A native of Madison County, LeRoy Rogers, 67, died Tuesday, June 8, 1976 at Villa West Care Center in Winterset. He was born August 18, 1908.

A retired farmer who spent his life in Madison County, LeRoy Rogers was the son of Michael LeRoy Rogers and Marche Coakley Rogers. His marriage to Helen Loree Ball took place June 26, 1936 in Paton, Iowa.

Surviving Mr. Rogers is a son, Kenneth Rogers of Waterloo, a daughter, Mrs. Gregory (Jean) Swartz of Lorimor and three grandchildren.

Also surviving are four sisters, Lela Adams, Creston; Marie Crawford of Ft. Dodge; Wilma Nauman of Santa Monica, California; Mrs. Leonard (Blanche) Abrahams and Mrs. Betty Braman, both of Winterset.

Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen (December 3, 1974) and one sister.

Funeral services for LeRoy Rogers were conducted Thursday June 10 at 2 p.m. from the Macksburg Methodist Church, Rev. Willis Grant officiating. Burial was made at the Moon Cemetery, Macksburg.
