Services for Golden Ruth Moore, 86, Greenfield, who died Feb. 14 at the Adair County Memorial Hospital were held Feb. 17 at the Steen Funeral Home in Greenfield with the Rev. Carl M. Droegemueller officiating. Burial was in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on Dec. 10, 1899, she was the daughter of Alfred and Nannie Eyerly Young. She was married to Jerrie O. Moore on Dec. 1, 1935.

Mrs. Moore became a member of Webster Methodist Church at an early age. She later became a member of the Fellowship Church in Monroe township, Madison County, and then was affiliated with Oak Grove Church in Madison county. In later years, she was affiliate with Laucks Grove Church in Adair County.

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Mary Lou Smith; and a sister, Marie Sawyers.

Golden Ruth Moore was born in Madison County, Iowa on December 10, 1899 to Alfred Snyder Young and Nannie Lucinda Eyerly Young. She passed away February 14, 1986 at the Adair County Memorial Hospital in Greenfield, Iowa at the age of 86 years and two months.

Golden was united in marriage to Jerrie O. Moore on December 1, 1935. They had one adopted daughter, Mary Lou Smith.

Golden became a member of Webster Methodist Church at an early age. She later became a member of the Fellowship Church in Monroe Township, Madison County and then was affiliated with the Oak Grove Church in Madison County. In later years she was affiliated with Loucks Grove Church in Adair County.

She was a hard-working woman as well as a good wife and mother. She loved her garden and yard.

Golden is survived by her husband, Jerrie; adopted daughter, Mary Lou Smith; sister Marie Sawyers; several cousins and numerous friends.

Funeral services were conducted February 17, 1986 at the Steen Funeral Home, Greenfield, Iowa, with the Rev. Carl M. Droegemueller, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Connie Huffman provided organ music and Lynn Burgmaier was the soloist. Casket bearers were Craig Bush, David Antisdel, Leland Swanger, Jerry Oxley, Tom Bingaman and Dale Marckmann. Honorary bearers were Earl Young, Merrill Ford, Harry Sackett, Wesley Webb, Jerry Good, Howard Young, Clarence Young and Vernon Bakerink. The floral committee was Mrs. Mildred Ford and Mrs. Eva Bakerink. Interment was in Greenfield Cemetery, Greenfield, Iowa.
