MRS. LEONARD MOORE OF WINTERSET DIES

Succumbs at Hospital in Iowa City After Long Illness

Mrs. Leonard Moore, a resident of Madison county most of her life, died at the state hospital at Iowa City Monday. She was 71 years of age.

Mrs. Moore was the former Addie R. Norris, daughter of Alfred and Mary Norris and was born Nov. 15, 1872 in Douglas township. She attended the rural schools near her home and the Earlham academy. After that she taught for 13 years in the rural schools of this county.

She was married to Leonard Moore on Jan. 15, 1913. All her life was spent in Madison county with the exception of a few years in Ringgold and Warren counties.

She united with the Worthington Methodist church in 1894 and was an active worker in the church all her life. At the time of her death she was a member of the Winterset church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, Frank Norris of Lorimor; and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Gentry of near Lorimor.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Winterset Methodist church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. W. A. Samp. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
