Death of Mrs. William Stewart

Mrs. Irene Rogers-Stewart died Monday noon at the home of her parents in Webster township after a long period of ill health. She and her husband went last week from their home east of Winterset.

MRS. WILLIAM STEWART

Jenevieve Irene Rogers was born in Madison county, Iowa, May 6, 1876, and died at her father's home in Webster township, Nov. 26, 1917.

She was married to W. R. Stewart Jan. 30, 1901. To them were born one son Walter, and one daughter, Bernice. She was converted at Crab Orchard, Nebr., at the age of 15, and united with the Methodist church, of which she remained a member until death. After a year of intense suffering, she has been transferred to the church triumphant. She told her dear ones she was saved and glad to go home and bade them all to meet her there. Almost her last words were a prayer that the Savior would take her soon.

Two brothers preceded her in death. Her aged parents, two sisters and two brothers remain and with her husband and children, mourn one who was loved as daughter, sister, wife and mother.
