Page 6ARABELLA MCKINNEY BURIED AT MACKSBURG
Funeral services were held March 28 for Mrs. Arabella McKinney of Macksburg, whose death had occurred March 23, at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset. The Rev. E. K. Parrott, pastor of the Macksburg Methodist church, conducted the services. Burial was made in Moon cemetery.
Mrs. McKinney was 96 years of age at her death. She was born near Hedrick, in Keokuk county on July 7, 1860, a daughter of Corneluis and Leah Broadhead.
She was married Feb. 25, 1880, to Winfield Scott McKinney. In 1888 they moved t a farm five miles southwest of Macksburg in Madison county. Her husband’s death occurred in 1920.
Three sons and a daughter preceded her in death. She leaves one son, Claude McKinney, and a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Palmer, of Macksburg. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Grand River Methodist church, and the Rebekah lodge at Macksburg.

Two residents of the Macksburg community died at Madison county Memorial hospital in Winterset last week
Henry Hilberry of Macksburg died Wednesday, March 20, at the age of 82 years. He had been brought to the hospital the preceding day.
Mrs. Arabella McKinney died Saturday, March 23, at the age of 96 years. She had been a patient at the hospital since March 18.
