MRS. ROSA B. JESSUP OF WINTERSET DIES

81-Year-Old Woman Passes Few Days After Having Stroke

Mrs. Rosa B. Jessup, a resident of Winterset since 1915, died last Thursday, June 10, at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines. She had been at the Shoemaker home here until Sunday prior to her death when she suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital in Des Moines.

Mrs. Jessup was 81 years old at the time of her death. She was a native of Illinois, where she was born at Camp Point on April 1, 1867. She was married in Adams county, Illinois, to William O. Jessup of Madison county. They established their home in Lincoln township, where they lived until moving to Winterset in 1915.

They were the parents of three sons and two daughters. The husband, one son and one daughter preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Eldon Jessup of Earlham and Frank Jessup of Oakland, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Walter Ferguson of Des Moines; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two step sons.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Richards funeral home in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
