Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Parker were held last Wednesday, November 21 at Creston.
Mrs. Parker died Nov. 18 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. A. Showers at Lorimor. She was 84 years of age.
A native of Johnson county, Iowa, she lived near Lorimor for many years. For the past 10 years she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Showers.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Meryl Wishart of Winterset, Mrs. Showers; one grandson, Don Showers of Creston; and three great grandchildren. One son, Harlan died in World War I in France. Her husband preceded her in death in 1926.
