MURIEL FREEMAN DIED ON MONDAY

Succumbs at Hospital in Omaha at Age of 62 Years

Mrs. Muriel Freeman of Winterset died Monday, May 8, at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital at Omaha, where she had been receiving medical care at various times during the last two years. She was 62 years of age.

Mrs. Freeman was the former Ethel Muriel Shoemaker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Shoemaker, and she was born Oct. 1, 1877 in Madison county. She was married to Charles Freeman Dec. 25, 1909. His death occurred in 1937.

She had been a member of the Winterset Church of Christ for many years.

Surviving are her four children: Christine of Omaha, Byron of Hermosa Beach, Calif., Virginia of Winterset, and Mrs. Ethel DeBoer of Omaha. She also leaves three sisters, Jane and Ruth Shoemaker at home, and Mrs. Minnie Foster of Mapleton, Minn.; and five brothers, Glen Shoemaker of Van Meter, Ralph and Carl Shoemaker of Winterset, Curtis Shoemaker of Montana, and Dr. Don Shoemaker of Chicago.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday from the Winterset Church of Christ, in charge of the pastor, the Rev. I. E. Linkletter. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
