Death Of MRS. WAGNER

Mrs. Sarah Wagner, widow of Lawrence Wagner, died at her home in the southwest part of the city Tuesday afternoon, from crysipelas.

The deceased was born in Hancock county, Ill., in 1852. Her husband died eleven years ago.

She is survived by three sons, Harry Wagner, of Spokane, Wash., Charles and Claude of this place and one daughter, Garnet Bird, of Monte Vista, Colorado.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today from the Baptist church.

Sarah E. Gatewood was born in Hancock county, Illinois, December 15th, 1852, and died at her home in Winterset, Iowa, March 19th, 1907, aged 54 years, 3 months and 6 days. She was married to Lawrence Wagner November 12th, 1873. To this union was born eight children, four of whom passed away in childhood, the four remaining are Harry Wagner, of Spokane, Washington; Garnet Bird, of Monta Vista, Colorado, and Chas. and Claude of this city. The husband and father died on March 30th, 1896. He was an old soldier, having served through the war of the rebellion.

She united with the Baptist church of this place many years ago, and adhered to that faith till death. She was a kind and loving mother, a good and generous neighbor, a faithful wife and always ready to help the sick or needy. The funeral services were conducted from the Baptist church.
