MRS. JOHN TRASTER

Hazel Alexander, the oldest daughter of G. B. and Electa Bertholf Alexander, was born in Madison county, Iowa, March 19, 1891 and passed away at the home of her father, June 22, 1924, at the age of 33 years, 2 months and 24 days.

She lived in this county until two years ago, when she moved to Des Moines. She was married to John H. Traster on March 28, 1917. Four children were born to them, all of whom died in infancy. She accepted Christ at the age of 16 years, and was baptized in the Evangelical Methodist church in June, 1907 and retained her membership in that church until her death.

She was a dutiful daughter, a self-sacrificing sister and a true and faithful wife and trusted friend. It can be said of her, none knew her but to love her.

She leaves her husband, father, brother Worth, and two sisters, Esther and Lucy, and many relatives and a host of friends, to await the reunion in the home beyond.

The funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24th, conducted in the Methodist church of Winterset, by the pastor, Rev. D. J. Shenton. Interment was in the Winterset cemetery.
