JAMES F. SEIFRED DIES AT 95 YEARS

Was Retired Farmer, Former Resident of Peru Area

James F. Seifred of Winterset, one of Madison county's oldest residents, died Tuesday, June 20 at Memorial Hospital here, at the age of 95 years.

Mr. Seifred was a retired farmer. He was a long-time resident of the Peru community before moving to Winterset.

He was a native of Council Bluffs, where he was born Feb. 14, 1872. He was married at Red Oak on Nov. 28, 1917, to Rosa B. Weaver. Her death occurred in 1958.

Nearest surviving relative is a nephew, Ira Travis of Garden City, Kan.

Funeral services were held last Friday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. E. K. Burham, pastor of the First Methodist church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
