LILLIE HOCKENBERRY Died Here Friday

Mrs. Lillie J. Hockenberry, a native of Madison county and a resident of Winterset for most of her life, died here Friday, Feb. 14, 1958, at a Winterset nursing home. She was 91 years of age.

Mrs. Hockenberry was the widow of the late James Hockenberry of Winterset, who served as Winterset town marshall for many years.

She was born in this county Feb. 26, 1866, a daughter of William E. and Nancy Hart. Her marriage to James Hockenberry occured Dec. 30, 1903. Her husband died in 1942.

Surviving are a sister, Jennie Orris, of California; seven nieces and three nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. W. W. Steinmetz, pastor of the Winterset Methodist Church. Burial was made in the Wight cemetery.

Note: Lillie was the daughter of William Nelson and Nancy Ann (Hart) Elsbury.
