Dan Scullen, Casey

Dan Scullen of Casey, formerly of Creston, died at the Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center on February 7, 2004.

Dan was born on February 1, 1932 to Richard W. Scullen and Ruth Emma Pinkerton in Creston. Dan married Shirley Colleen Carlson July 28, 1949. He owned and operated Aldo and Northside restaurants in Winterset and Tamarac Restaurant & Lounge in Creston for many years.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1994; and his sister-in-law, Ruby Scullen.

He is survived by his son, Dr. Steven (Mary) Scullen of Apex, N. C.; son, Richard (Cathy) Scullen of Indianola; daughter, Kathleen (Art) Becker of Boone; daughter, Carol (Barry) Orness of Casey; brother, Robert Scullen of Brownstown, Ill.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held a t3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Services in Creston.
