FROM PERU

The funeral of Nora Clifton, daughter of Joseph and Mattie Clifton, took place Inst Saturday. Charles Hoover conducted the services at the Christian church. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

FROM EAST PERU

Little Nora Clifton, daughter of Joseph Clifton, died on the 15th and was buried in the Peru cemetery.

Transcriber's note: In the 1885 census, Nora is listed as "W. L.". Unverified documentation found on the web states that the "W." stands for "Winfield." It is more likely that the "W" stands for "Winfred".
