Ella Schrader, 95, Died Sunday

A housewife and a native of Adair County, Ella Elizabeth Schrader, 95, died Sunday, July 2, 1978 at Memorial Hospital in Winterset. She was a resident of North Ward Plaza, living in this county a total of 35 years.

Born November 18, 1882, Mrs. Schrader was the daughter of John and Anice Lorene Pope Mumford. She was married to Henry John Schrader in Madison County on January 24, 1906. He preceded her in death in 1950.

Mrs.Schrader was a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship of the First Christian Church in Winterset.

Survivors include a son, Harry Schrader of Creston; three daughters, Mrs. Hayden (Alice) Low of Greenfield; Mrs. Walter (Esther) Hamner of Winterset; Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Kness of Guthrie Center; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kolbe of Sac City.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Schrader was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, July 5 at 2 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home with burial at Greenfield Cemetery. Rev. Charles Updike officiated.
