Mary Ruby Addy Ruth, Sherman Oaks, Calif.

Word has been received of the death of Mary Ruby Addy Ruth of Sherman Oaks, Calif., who died Thursday, Jan. 15 of leukemia at Sherman Oaks Convalescent Hospital there.

The body was cremated and the the ashes taken to Valhalla Memorial Park.

Mrs. Ruth was born in Madison County on June 24, 1900. She was the daughter of Clyde Alvin and Lydia Walker Addy. On May 14, 1933, she married Harrell W. Ruth, who survives her. She moved to California in 1939 and worked for Douglas Aircraft 23 years until her retirement.

Mrs. Ruth was a Charter Member of Progressive Study Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
