ERNEST PRESTON DIED WEDNESDAY

Ernest Preston, a resident of the North Branch community in Jefferson township for 43 years, died this Wednesday morning at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He had been brought to the hospital Monday.

Mr. Preston was 72 years of age. He was a native of Illinois, where he was born at Elmwood on Sept. 16, 1879.

Near surviving relatives include his wife, and two sons, Levi Preston of Hampton, and Charles at home.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2:30 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. William Suckow of Van Meter. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.
