MILDRED ROBINSON, Winterset

Mildred Elizabeth Robinson, 98, died Dec. 23, 2006, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services were held on Dec. 27 at First United Methodist Church in Winterset with Pastor Bobb Barrick officiating. Burial followed at Winterset Cemetery in Winterset. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Mildred was born on Feb. 24, 1908 in Madison County, the daughter of George William Lorentz and Hattie Pearl (William) Lorentz. She was a 1928 graduate of Peru High School. She married Gail Robinson on Mar. 23, 1935, in Carl, Iowa. Mildred had been a cook at the Aldo Cafe and the Madison County Sale Barn. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant son; a brother, Lyle Lorentz, and sisters Edna and Myrtle.

She is survived by her brother-in-law, Dean Robinson, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel & Funeral Services in Winterset.
