JUANITA HIRCOCK, Winterset

Juanita F. Hircock, 75, of Winterset, died Dec. 30, 2006, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Jan. 3, at the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery in Winterset. A visitation and Family Tribute Service were held Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Ochiltree Funeral Service. Memorials may be directed to the Grace Baptist Church.

Juanita was born Jan. 7, 1931, in Benson, Minn., the daughter of Roy and Gladys (McDonald) Nelson. She was married to Roger Hircock on May 12, 1952. She was employed by the Madison County Memorial Hospital for 24 years and later worked as a Pool Nurse in Des Moines until her retirement in 1992. Juanita was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years; two daughters, Ramona Peterson of Des Moines and Judy Leaf of Minneapolis, Minn.; a son, Larry Hircock of Benson, Minn.; four sisters, Myrtle Grace of Willmar, Minn., Frances Lagred of Benson, Minn., Anne Stockham of Carroll and Margaret Nelson of Willmar, Minn.; two brothers, Donald Nelson and Gene Nelson, both of Benson, Minn.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers-in-law, Robert, Edward and Kent. Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
