Merilee Ruth Parker, 82, died of leukemia February 13, 1993, in Des Moines. Funeral services were held on Tues. Feb. 16 at the Regular Baptist Church in Mount Ayr with the Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating. Burial was at Middle Fork Cemetery at Redding.

Mrs. Parker was born July 12, 1930, near Denver, Mo. to Clifford and Merle Jones. She married Duaine Knapp in Redding in 1948. After his death, she later married Howard Parker of Redding in 1963. She was a homemaker and later worked as a dietary aid for 12 years at Ringgold County Hospital. After being treated for leukemia, she lived in her son’s home in Winterset.

Surviving relatives include a son, Timothy Knapp of Winterset.
