Winterset, IowaJOSEPH JESSE DIED RECENTLY IN MISSOURI
Word has been received here of the recent death of Joseph L. Jesse, formerly a well known resident of the Union Chapel community south of Patterson. His death occurred at the Veterans hospital in St. Louis, Mo. He had been in ill health for some time.
Mr. Jesse was a son of John and Catherine Jesse, and was born at Winterset Sept. 6, 1878. He was a veteran of the Spanish American war.
Surviving are two sons, Eugene Lyle of Moffett Field, Calif., and Byron of St. Charles; and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Cox of Sunnyvale, Calif.
Burial was made in the National cemetery at St. Louis, Mo.
