Catherine Aikin Robertson of Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Des Moines died Monday, December 24, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 97. Mrs. Robertson had lived in Winterset most of her life and was a member of the Eastern Star.
Born on July 16, 1882 in Dollar, Scotland, she was the daughter of Thomas A. and Jessie Henderson. She was united in marriage to Elson Robertson, who preceded her in death in 1958.
Among the survivors are a daughter Jean P. Newerf of Des Moines, two grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild, a great-grandchild, and several brothers and sisters.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 27 at the Winterset Cemetery with Rev. David Livingston officiating.
