MORTUARY

Mrs. Charles Foster

Emma Louiza Meader, daughter of William and Louiza Meader, was born in Port Byron, Illinois, April 13, 1861, and died January 5, 1929, at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 22 days.

She was united in marriage to Charles Foster, and to this union were born five children, 3 daughters and 2 sons. One son departed this life when a lad of 7 years.

Mrs. Foster was a member of the Methodist church and continued her membership until death. She was active in her relations with the Methodist congregation during the time that church services were conducted and up to the time of her death she assisted in many ways in keeping the church open and religious work active. She was a charter member of the Women’s Relief Corps and as long as able gave her support to all its work.

Those left to mourn their loss are her daughters, Mrs. C. W. Henger, of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Ora Simmons, of Peru, and Mrs. W. P. Monroe, and one son, Milton, both of Yelm, Washington, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She leaves one sister, Mrs. S. P. Carey, of Roundup, Montana, and two brothers, Clarence Meader, of St. Paul, Minnesota, and Cliff Meader, of San Francisco, a number of other relatives and a wide circle of friends.

The funeral service was conducted from the church in Peru, by Rev. Rue Burnell, or Truro, on Tuesday afternoon, January 8.
