Johnnie Delmar Sandusky, youngest son of John and Mary Sandusky, was born at Altamont, Kansas on March 2, 1903 and passed away after a short illness at the Mercy hospital January 27, 1951 at the age of 47 years, 10 months and 25 days.

He grew to manhood in Kansas and moved to Earlham, Iowa in August 1929. He was united in marriage to Gladys McCorkle on May 6, 1931, and they continued to make their home at Earlham, until 1941 when the family moved to Van Meter where the last ten years of his life were spent. Three daughtes were born to this home, Ruth, Evelyn, and Mary.

Mr. Sandusky was employed by the Hawkeye and Marquette Cement Company since 1929 and until almost a year ago had missed only one day at work in 20 years.

He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Gladys, his daughters, Ruth, Evelyn and Mary, a brother, Pernal Sandusky of Mound Valley, Kansas, and also several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A brother and sister, as well as his parents, preceded him in death.

He was a good husband and father and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
