ELIAS PRITCHARD, JR. DIES AT 68 YEARS

Elias Pritchard Jr., of Winterset died Friday, Oct. 4 at a hospital in Des Moines, at the age of 68 years.

Mr. Pritchard was born in Lee township on Feb. 4, 1895, a son of Elias, Sr., and Sarah Diser Pritchard. He served in the U. S. army during World War I and was a member of the Methodist church.

He was married in Winterset, December 24, 1920 to Esther A. Hermon, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Bruce Kellogg of Ames; four grandchildren; and 13 brothers and sisters; Mrs. Lizzie Baker of Denver, Colo., James, John, Sam and Nelson Pritchard and Mrs. Carrie Lauterbach, all of Des Moines, Mrs. Susie Eichner and Mrs. Sophia Clark of Winterset, Mrs. Lula Hawkinson and Martin Pritchard of Adel, Harry Pritchard and Mrs. Clara Carey of California and Fred Pritchard of Peru.

Funeral services were held here Monday from the Winterset Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. John C. Porath. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery, with military honors by Green-Rogers post of the American Legion.
