RAY MILLS SERVICES HELD AT ST. CHARLES

Funeral services were held from the United Presbyterian church in St. Charles on June 1, for Howard Ray Mills, life-long resident of that community whose death occurred at St. Charles on May 30.

Mr. Mills was 75 years of age at his death. He was born in Warren county, Sept. 27, 1880, a son of Harlow and Emily Adams Mills. His active life was spent in farming in Warren county, until 1948, when he retired and moved into St. Charles.

He was married April 19, 1919 to Essie C. Buchanan, whose death occurred in 1952. They were parents of one daughter, who died at birth. Nearest surviving relative is a nephew, Arthur, of Mt. Pleasant.

He was a member of the St. Charles Presbyterian church.

The Rev. S. C. Picken of Winterset officiated at the funeral services June 1, assisted by the Rev. Eldon Haworth of St. Charles. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
