Union Township Resident Was 63 Years of Age At Death
Ivan F. Penn, a well-known Union township farmer, died Monday, Feb. 1 at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 63 years of age.
Mr. Penn was a life-long resident of Madison county, and spent his active life in farming. He was born here Jan. 25, 1902, a son of Frank and Clara Mills Penn.
He was married Feb. 26, 1923, at Winterset to Iona Hester, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. Wayne Pryor of Des Moines; two brothers, William Penn of Winterset and Ray Penn of Van Meter; and two sisters Mrs. Harvey Phipps of Osceola and Mrs. Delpha Costello of Boston, Mass.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. H. E. Borum, pastor of the First Baptist church here. Burial will be made in North McDonald cemetery.
