Lowell W. “Willie” Croft, 86, died Feb. 1, 2003, at the Wills Point, Texas, home of his daughter following a lengthy illness.
No memorial services were held.
Willie Croft was born July 19, 1916, in Winterset. He moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1952 to work for the Texas Pacific Railroad, from which he retired after 29 years of service. Willie was a United States Army veteran, serving in the European theatre during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah.
He is survived by a daughter, Regina Murguia of Wills Point, Texas; two sons, Charles E. Croft of Shreveport, La., and William R. Croft of Des Moines; three stepchildren, Suzanne Swann, Randal Poindexter and Chuck Poindexter, 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
