Death of W. W. Walker

Macksburg, April 16. Special – W. W. Walker died at his home in Macksburg, Thursday morning, April 11th. His health failed about two years ago, his condition becoming worse a few days before his death, when he contracted a severe cold which caused his death.

Mr. Walker had been a resident of Macksburg more than 20 years, being cashier of the Macksburg National bank for 18 years, and was superintendent of the Methodist Sunday school for 11 years, and taking an active part in all public affairs.

Funeral services were held Sunday morning at 11 o’clock, at the Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Eugene Alexander, and burial was made in the Macksburg cemetery.

Two daughters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Whitney, of Fairbury, Nebraska and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dunlap, of Fairbault, Minnesota, and a grandson, Walker Mitchell, of Des Moines, were here to attend the funeral. A son, Ralph, lives in California, but was unable to come.
