Funeral services for Harold "Don" Patterson, 69, were held November 28 at Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev. Marcus Engelhardt officiating. Mr. Patterson died November 25, 1992 on his farm southwest of Macksburg. Burial was at Rosehill cemetery in Nevinville.

He was born in Orient on January 13, 1923 to Arthur and Alice (Johnson) Patterson. He married Betty Richardson on July 11, 1948, beginning 34 years of marriage. He married Marjorie Palmer on November 18, 1983, in Creston. Mr. Patterson was a lifetime resident of Orient and Macksburg communities. He worked as a farmer, a stockman and an insurance agent for Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance. He was a member of the American Legion Post #70 in Creston and the Salem Lutheran Church in Creston. A W W II veteran, he served in the U. S. Army Air Corps.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, his father and a brother.

Surviving relatives are his wife, Marjorie; his mother, Alice of Creston; one daughter, Kathryn Glosser of Altoona; one son, Phillip Patterson of Orient; one stepson, Delane Palmer of Indianola; and five grandchildren.
