Services for Beulah I. Osborn, 69, Winterset, who died Oct. 29 at the Care Center North here, were held Thursday, Nov. 1 at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Jerry Zanker officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born in Winterset on Aug. 14, 1915, she was the daughter of Thomas E. and Helen Benson Bedwell. She graduated from Winterset High School in 1933 and started working for United Food Stores, also in 1933.
On Ja. 29, 1936, she was married in Hanley to Richard Osborn. They made their home in Stuart, where their two children were born. In 1945, they moved to Earlham where Beulah had a dress shop and later helped her husband in the United Food Stores. They later purchased the store and operated it until their retirement in October, 1974.
Mrs. Osborn was a member of the Earlham Church of Christ, the Earlham Eastern Star and the Winterset Rebekah chapter.
Survivors include a son, Alan of Harvard, Neb.; a daughter, Billie Jo Ford of Las Cruces, N. M.; brothers, Gerald, Paul and Blair Bedwell, all of Des Moines; a sister, Joan Collins of Baldwin Park, Calif.; four grandchildren and two foster grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents and an infant sister.
