Jennie Olson, Winterset

Jennie Olson, 98, November 13 at Winterset Care Center South where she was a resident. Services were Sat., Nov. 16 at the First United Methodist Church in Winterset with Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Visitation was Fri., Nov. 15.

Born to Lou and Ella Foster Jennings June 11, 1893 in Adair County, Mrs. Olson was a 30-year resident of Winterset after moving from Zion. On February 14, 1910 she was married to Lloyd E. Olson in Creston and lived her life as a homemaker and mother.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau.

Mrs. Olson was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Lloyd E. Olson, Jr.; three brothers, Fred, Ed and Wilson; and four sisters, Mabel, Haley, Liza and Annie.

Her survivors are sons Lowell of Winterset and Norris of Santa Barbara, Calif.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established at the First United Methodist Church, and burial was at the Greenfield Cemetery.
